  • Are you a direct-to-consumer service or a broker?
    We are a direct-to-consumer small business. Happy Junk Truck operates with only trained and trusted team members - no brokers or middlemen involved. We take pride in our close-knit team; we know our staff like family, and we're confident you'll feel the same way when you work with us. This direct approach allows us to maintain high standards of service and build lasting relationships with our customers.
  • What items do you take?
    We're happy to take a wide range of small to medium-sized junk and personal items! This includes furniture, appliances, electronics, clothing, toys, and general household clutter. If you're unsure about a specific item, just give us a call, and we'll be glad to help.
  • Are there any items you don't accept?
    For safety reasons, we can't accept hazardous materials. This includes: Pressurized containers Chemicals (e.g., motor oil, paint) Explosive materials Lumber If you're unsure about an item, please ask us before your appointment.
  • What happens to my stuff once it's removed?
    At Happy Junk Truck, we're committed to environmental responsibility. We try to reduce, reuse, and repurpose as much of the removed items as possible through donation and recycling facilities. However, some materials will still need to go to the transfer station for further breakdown and disposal.
  • Can I have the service completed if I'm not there onsite at the appointment time?
    Absolutely! We understand that you might have a busy schedule. You don't need to be on-site for the removal or payment. We can handle everything for you.
  • How do I pay?
    We offer convenient payment options: Credit card (preferred) via a secure payment link Cash Please note that we don't accept checks. Remember, you don't have to be on-site for payment.
  • What areas do you service?
    We primarily service most of San Francisco and Silicon Valley. We typically don't cross the Bay Bridge or Golden Gate Bridge for services, but we can discuss this on a case-by-case basis with an associated transit fee. If you're outside our usual service area, give us a call, and we'll see what we can do!
  • Is Happy Junk Truck insured?
    Yes, we are fully insured! We carry liability insurance, auto insurance, and workers' compensation coverage for your peace of mind.
  • Do you recycle mattresses?
    Yes, we do recycle mattresses! While mattresses are not able to be donated in the state of California, we make sure to properly recycle of them through specialized facilities that reuse the stuffing and metals.
  • Can my company be invoiced?
    We review all invoicing requests on a case-by-case basis. Our leadership team will be happy to discuss this option with you to find the best solution for your company's needs.
  • Can I or my company get a certificate of insurance?
    Certainly! We can provide certificates of insurance for our corporate clients' facilities and multi-family housing. Please note that this must be arranged prior to your removal appointment. We're happy to work with both corporate and residential clients, but these jobs are scheduled on a case-by-case basis. Please reach out to us via email or phone to discuss your specific needs.
  • Do you offer services outside of regular operating hours?
    We understand that sometimes junk doesn't wait for business hours! Non-standard hours can be scheduled on a case-by-case basis. We always try our best to accommodate our customers' needs, so don't hesitate to ask.
  • Do you offer any discounts?
    We're proud to support those who serve our community. All Law Enforcement personnel, Firefighters, and Veterans receive a 15% discount on our services above minimum charge. Thank you for your service! All repeat customers receive 10% discount after their first service above a minimum charge. Thank you for your support.
  • How do I rent that cute truck?
    We're flattered you like our truck! If you're interested in renting it, please reach out to us directly to discuss individual pricing and availability. Unfortunately, you can not dive the cute truck.
  • What if I need to reschedule or Cancel?
    At Happy Junk Truck, we understand that life happens. That's why we offer a flexible cancellation and rescheduling policy for your convenience. There are no fees for cancellations or rescheduling. We appreciate as much notice as possible if you need to change your plans. If you need assistance with canceling or rescheduling, please don't hesitate to reach out to us directly.
